I received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Westminster College in Pennsylvania. I went on to complete my graduate work at the University of Central Florida. I received a Masters in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor as well. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association.

In addition to working with individuals and couples in my private practice in Oviedo, I also have experience working as a Marriage Educator with the Together Project, a federal grant that provides relationship education to married couples. Much of my educational pursuits and experience have been focused on providing services to couples. In addition, I have extensive experience working with addictions through both community and private mental health agencies. Other areas of interest and experience include: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions...and I offer a GLB-friendly environment.

People come to my office with hopes of experiencing some sort of positive change. I see my role as creating the environment for change to happen. I view my work with people as collaborative. In other words, the counselor and client work together to set goals and develop the means to meet these goals. I hope to make the person sitting across from me in my office realize that they are their most important resource for making life work.
I had the honor of working with Bob and Phil as they were struggling with their sibling relationship while filming the reality show, Wake Brothers, on MTV. Take a glimpse into my office with this clip from the show which aired in the summer of 2012.
